CIPM to host 7th Great HR Quiz showcasing Human Resource Professionals

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) proudly announces the forthcoming 7th Great HR Quiz, a distinguished event showcasing the expertise of workplace professionals in Human Resources. Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the luxurious Hotel Galadari, Colombo, the event is set to commence at 2:00 p.m.
Being a brainchild of Mr Rohitha Amarapala, the past president of CIPM, the Great HR Quiz made its debut in 2014 and has since evolved into a prominent fixture in Sri Lanka’s HR sector. Anticipated to be more significant and more impactful this year, the event is expected to draw the participation of approximately sixty-five esteemed companies.
Setting the 7th Great HR Quiz apart is its endorsement by renowned international bodies such as NIPM-India and PSHRM-Pakistan. This global recognition enhances the event’s significance and efficacy, positioning it as a must-attend for HR professionals and enthusiasts.
Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, the current President of CIPM, elucidated the event’s objectives, foremost among which is the aspiration to elevate knowledge, skills, and practices in the realm of HR. The quiz serves as a unique platform for the practical application of theoretical knowledge, fostering heightened awareness among HR professionals regarding contemporary socio-political contexts, sports, and other interconnected domains. Both private and public sector organizations are encouraged to participate, with each entity eligible to nominate up to two teams, each comprising four members. The registration deadline is set for November 18, 2023, urging organisations to secure their spots promptly.
To ensure efficiency and transparency, the quiz will be conducted as a ‘Live’ table quiz presented digitally. The CIPM has implemented measures to guarantee fairness, including the appointment of independent judges and the curation of questions by an impartial panel to maintain the utmost confidentiality and integrity of the competition.
Reflecting on the success of last year’s event, Ansell Lanka (Pvt) Ltd emerged as the Overall CIPM Great HR Quiz 2022 Champions, with Sunshine Consumer Lanka securing the 1st Runner-up Trophy and Seylan Bank PLC claiming the 2nd Runner-up Trophy. These triumphs underscore the calibre of competition the Great HR Quiz attracts and the achievements participants can strive for.
