CIPM, the Nation’s Leader in HRM, signs MOU with the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka to facilitate academic-professional collaboration in promoting HR Management in Sri Lanka.

Marking another significant milestone in its path towards developing the Human Resource Management Profession in Sri Lanka and setting high professional standards in HR Management, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management Studies, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka on 21st December 2022.
The signed MoU aims to achieve the professional development of the undergraduates and graduates of the Department of HR Management, sharing the experiences and facilities offered at CIPM.
A signing ceremony was conducted at the Rajarata University, graced by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Prof. G A S Ginigaddara, along with Prof. P M B Jayathilake, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, the Heads of the Departments, and the students. Representing the CIPM, Col. S Jayawickrama (Retired) – Honorary Treasurer, CIPM Executive Council, Mr UAC Obeysekere – Chief Executive Officer, Mr G Weerathunge – Director – Professional & Academic Affairs, Ms Himali Dasanayake – Director Operations and Mr Anushka Earskin – Head of Business School participated in the ceremony. Addressing the MOU signing ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. G A S Ginigaddara,
emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics and professionals of this country for the benefit of students, HR professionals, and the managerial community of this country. She further highlighted the importance of joining professional organizations of the caliber of CIPM and requested students to join CIPM for their continuous professional development.
