CIPM, the Nation’s Leader in HRM Sri Lanka proudly inaugurated the Renewable Solar Energy project today at CIPM Head Office “HR House” Narahenpita as an initiative by the incumbent President of CIPM Sri Lanka Mr. Ken Vijayakumar.
Mr. Vijayakumar being a corporate leader who always has a passion for Sustainability and Green HR initiatives. CIPM is the first professional institution to embark on renewable energy in Sri Lanka.
The 40 KW Grid Tie Solar System of CIPM officially opened today (16.12.2023) at CIPM Head Office Premises with the presence of President – CIPM Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, Vice President – Mr. Priyantha Ranasinghe, Honorary Secretary of CIPM, Col. Saman Jayawickrama, Honorary Treasurer of CIPM Mr Priyankara Seneviratne along with Head of Sustainability and Facility Management Mr. Chandima Pinsiri and Staffs of CIPM.
The project was a part of the objectives lined up in the standing committee on Sustainability, Diversity and Inclusivity under the leadership of Ms. Wasanthi Vithanage, Council Member and Assistant Secretary of CIPM Council 2023/24.
CIPM Sri Lanka too was awarded the Gold Award in the Education Category on the Triumph of excellence on “Transparency, Accountability, Governance and Sustainability” at the TAGS Awards by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA – Sri Lanka) held at Shangri-La Colombo on 12th December 2023.
The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Diploma in Professional Human Resource Management (DPHRM) was held on Saturday, 28th January 2023, with the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Ken Vijayakumar, President CIPM Sri Lanka, Guest of Mr. Mahendra Jayasekera, The Managing Director of Lanka Tiles PLC,
Lanka Wall Tiles PLC, and Swisstek (Ceylon) PLC, Mr. Ranjith Kodituwakku, Chief Executive Officer – People’s Bank Sri Lanka, Office Bearers, Council Members, and other distinguished guests. There were 800 Diploma holders who received their certificates and the event was concluded with great success.

The CPD Session on Future-Proofing Your Career: What got you here won’t get you there! conducted by Dr. Asoka Jinadasa, Honorary Member of CIPM Sri Lanka was held on 27th January 2023 at the CIPM Auditorium and was a resounding success with the participation of 50 plus CIPM members.
The session greatly contributed towards the Continuous Professional Development of the CIPM members initiated by the Standing Committee on Globally Recognized Member Centric Organization and was appreciated as an activity of great value by much of the audience.
Founder/CEO of Nalaka H Consulting Inc., a Toronto-based International Training and Coaching services firm, Mr Nalaka Hewamadduma launched a book on “Art of Well-Bring”.
The ceremony took place at CIPM Members’ Lounge on 26th January 2023 with the participation of distinguished guests Mr.Ken Vijayakumar – President, Hony. Treasurer, Council Members, CEO of CIPM, HOD’s and staff of CIPM.
